Powerlifting belts are uniform-width leather belts, usually thicker and stiffer than general gym belts, closed with a lever or prong buckle. KnurlForge makes powerlifting belts for fitness equipment brands, strength gyms, sporting goods retailers and e-commerce sellers, built to your width, thickness, leather, buckle and branding. For tapered and nylon designs see weight lifting belts.

Construction
A powerlifting belt is a uniform-width leather belt. Common formats buyers ask for are around 4 in (≈10 cm) wide and around 10 mm or 13 mm thick; we build to the width and thickness you specify and confirm them on the sample. The body is layered or solid leather with a suede face, stitched around the edges, with a lever, single-prong or double-prong buckle.
Competition rules
Powerlifting federations set their own belt rules (dimensions, buckle types and sometimes approved-supplier lists). We do not claim that any belt is approved by, or compliant with, any federation. If you target a specific federation, send its current rules and we build to the dimensions you specify — approval, where required, is the brand owner’s process.
Lever vs prong buckles
Lever buckles clamp the belt closed and open with one motion; the lever is repositioned with a screwdriver to change size. Prong buckles (single or double) use holes along the belt and are adjusted hole by hole. Many brands offer both. Lever plates can be engraved with your logo and supplied in different finishes.
Branding and packaging
Logos are embossed, debossed or foil-stamped on the leather, printed on the suede face, or engraved on the lever. Belts are packed with a hang tag in a polybag, in a dust bag or in a printed box. See OEM & private label.

Frequently asked questions
Are your powerlifting belts federation approved?
No approval is claimed. We build to the dimensions you specify; federation approval, where required, is the brand owner’s process.
Can we offer both lever and prong versions?
Yes — both can be built on the same belt body and quoted as separate SKUs.
Which leather do you use?
Cowhide or buffalo leather, layered or solid, with a suede face is common. Leather type and finish are specified per program; documentation for your market is confirmed per order.
What is the MOQ and lead time?
Both are quoted per SKU. MOQ depends mainly on material, color, logo method and packaging (stock designs in neutral polybags start lower than custom colors, molded logos or printed retail boxes); lead time depends on materials, customization and season. Send your quantities and we confirm both on the quotation — see also the packaging & MOQ section of our specs guide.
Can you put performance or injury-protection claims on the packaging?
We print the packaging and insert content your team approves, but we do not originate or substantiate medical, injury-prevention or performance claims, and this site makes none. Product descriptions here cover materials, construction, sizing and customization only. Claims on your packaging are the brand owner’s responsibility under your market’s rules.
