Lifting straps lasso, figure 8 and closed-loop straps made to your spec
Lifting straps are one of the highest-volume accessories in any strength-training range: light, compact, easy to brand and bought again when they wear. KnurlForge makes lifting straps for fitness equipment brands, gyms and studios, sporting goods retailers and e-commerce sellers — lasso (single-loop) straps, figure 8 lifting straps and closed-loop straps, in cotton, nylon or polyester webbing, with or without neoprene wrist padding, finished with your logo and packaging.
- Lasso, figure 8 and closed-loop styles
- Cotton, nylon or polyester webbing
- Optional neoprene wrist padding and reinforced stitching patterns
- Embroidered, woven-label or printed logos; retail-ready packs
Lifting strap styles we make
- Lasso / single-loop straps — a length of webbing with a sewn loop at one end; the free end passes through the loop around the wrist and wraps around the bar. The most common entry SKU and the easiest to brand along the tail.
- Figure 8 straps — a webbing piece sewn into a figure-of-eight shape; one loop goes over the hand and the other around the bar. See the figure 8 section below.
- Closed-loop straps — a short closed loop of webbing, often used by Olympic-style lifters; compact and quick to put on.
- Padded straps — any of the above with a neoprene or foam wrist pad sewn in, usually covered in the brand color with a printed or embroidered logo.
- Strap + chalk or strap + glove bundles — pairs packed with lifting chalk or lifting gloves under one barcode.
Figure 8 lifting straps
Figure 8 lifting straps are made from one length of webbing folded and sewn into two loops joined at the center. The construction details we set per SKU are the webbing (heavy cotton, nylon or polyester), the loop size (sized to the hand and to the bar or handle the buyer’s customers use), the stitch pattern at the center join (box-X or multi-row bar-tack, specified per design) and optional neoprene padding on the wrist side.
Figure 8 straps are usually sold in pairs and in two or three loop sizes (for example small / medium / large), which affects SKU count and MOQ — see the sizing notes below. Logos are embroidered or printed on the center panel or on a woven label sewn into the seam.
Webbing, padding and stitching
Cotton webbing has a soft, textured hand and takes embroidery well. Nylon webbing is smooth and thin for its strength. Polyester webbing holds color well and stretches less than nylon. Many brands combine a webbing body with a neoprene wrist pad covered in nylon or polyester fabric. Some premium lines use leather straps.
Webbing width, thickness, thread and stitch pattern are specified per design and confirmed on the pre-production sample. We do not publish breaking-strength or load figures; if your channel requires a specific test, tell us at the brief stage and we confirm on the quotation what can be arranged.
Length, width and sizing
Lasso straps are commonly made around 1.5 in (about 38 mm) wide, with overall lengths set per brand — longer straps allow more wraps around the bar, shorter straps are quicker to use. Figure 8 straps are sized by loop circumference and usually offered in two or three sizes. Closed-loop straps are sized by loop length. We help you pick a size spread that suits your channel without multiplying SKUs; the full sizing notes are in the specs & selection guide.
Logos and packaging for private label straps
Common logo positions are along the strap tail, on the wrist pad and on the figure 8 center panel. Methods: embroidery (cotton and nylon webbing), woven or printed labels sewn into the seam, screen, heat-transfer or silicone printing on pads, and jacquard-woven webbing with the logo woven in for larger programs. Packaging options range from a pair in a polybag with a sticker to header cards, zip pouches, drawstring bags and printed boxes with barcodes and marketplace labels. See OEM & private label.
Who buys lifting straps from us
Fitness equipment brands add straps as an attach SKU to bars, racks and platforms; gyms and studios sell branded straps at the front desk; sporting goods retailers stock a good-better-best strap line; and e-commerce sellers build bundles with chalk and wrist wraps. Wholesale buyers can mix straps with wrist wraps, belts and knee sleeves in one order — see wholesale.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between lasso and figure 8 lifting straps?
A lasso strap is a single length of webbing with a loop at one end that is wrapped around the bar; a figure 8 strap is sewn into two joined loops, one around the hand and one around the bar. We make both, plus closed-loop straps.
Do you make weightlifting hooks?
Weightlifting hooks (a metal hook on a padded wrist cuff) can be quoted as an add-on SKU next to straps — tell us the hook material, coating and cuff style you want on the inquiry form. As with straps, we do not publish load ratings; specifications are confirmed per SKU.
Can we get padded and unpadded straps in the same order?
Yes. Padded and unpadded versions, and different styles, can be combined in one order; MOQ is quoted per SKU and color.
Can the logo be woven into the webbing?
Yes, jacquard-woven webbing is possible for larger runs. For smaller runs, embroidery, a woven label or printing is more economical.
Are lifting straps sold as pairs?
Usually yes — straps are packed and barcoded as pairs, but single straps can be packed if your channel needs it.
What is the MOQ and lead time?
Both are quoted per SKU. MOQ depends mainly on material, color, logo method and packaging (stock designs in neutral polybags start lower than custom colors, molded logos or printed retail boxes); lead time depends on materials, customization and season. Send your quantities and we confirm both on the quotation — see also the packaging & MOQ section of our specs guide.
Can you put performance or injury-protection claims on the packaging?
We print the packaging and insert content your team approves, but we do not originate or substantiate medical, injury-prevention or performance claims, and this site makes none. Product descriptions here cover materials, construction, sizing and customization only. Claims on your packaging are the brand owner’s responsibility under your market’s rules.
